Uber Rare! B. FINNEGAN & BRO. New York Back Saw c. 1852-54

$625.00

Bartholomew Finnegan and his brother were a very short lived saw making partnership in New York from about 1852 to 1854. The asterisk symbol in the mark is reminiscent of that used by Worrall, and could indicate one of the brothers worked for Worrall at some point. This 14 inch split nut example is the only saw by this maker I am aware of. A wonderful pre-Civil War American saw.
