L. DeForest made some of the finest and most beautiful plow planes of the mid 1800’s, working from about 1850-60 in CT and NY. Very showy boxwood throughout except for an ebony wear strip on the fence. A few minor dings and one washer has a glue repair. Very high grade boxwood has great color and grain. AWP5 “B” mark on toe.
