RARE! Type 1 STANLEY No. 31 Mahogany Level with Eagle Trademark

A very rare and early Stanley level that was a carry over from the Hall & Knapp line and was very quickly discontinued by Stanley, probably as soon as they used up the leftover Hall & Knapp stock. Type 1 eagle trademark. 29.5″ mahogany stock with half brass tips. This is one of only two model 31’s I’ve seen. Both vials are full and working. The brass plumb covers are gone. Model number is marked on the end. A special level from the earliest days of the Stanley Rule & Level Co.
