A great pre-Civil War level by Lambert, Mulliken & Stackpole who operated from about 1852 to 1855 in Boston. This fine 30″ example retains most of its original paper label which is still partly legible. Great eagle mark in the top plate. An excellent survivor noting a dry plumb vial. LM&S levels with their original labels are very rare.
