Wonderful Mahogany Wedge Lock Panel Gauge

A very finely made 26″ panel gauge. Shapely head has an inlayed mother of pearl disc, and the wedge is wonderfully faceted. Among the names marked on this tool is J. Parker. AWP5 notes him as a c. 1850 four star Newark, NJ plane maker, so it’s possible this tool was made by him. Excellent, untouched original condition with great surface and color.
