Very Early & Unique! Sighting Level with Dual Pitch Adjustments

A very unique and unusual 34-1/2 inch mahogany level with inset bone sights and brass drop-down pitch adjustments at each end. Very early church window style plumb porthole. Unsigned and probably craftsman made, but very well done and well thought out for the time period it was made, which I believe is very early 1800’s. I’ve never seen another level with pitch adjustments at both ends like this. Plumb vial is dry and the thumb turns for the pitch adjustments have long since parted ways with the level. A special early level previously from the legendary collection of Don Rosebrook.
