Type 1 Starrett No. 132 Iron Level with Original Box

A stunning and fine 18″ example retaining nearly all of its original japanning and bright nickel on the vial housings. All vials are full, working and original. Circa 1895 Type 1 marked “Pat. App’ld For”. Starrett applied for this design patent for a level frame on May 28, 1895, and was grated the patent on April 14, 1896. Box is fragile with losses, but retains the awesome bright red picture label.
