Super I. SCHAUER Complex Molding Plane – Circa 1825

John Schauer was born in 1776 and made planes in East Petersburg, PA from about 1820 until the early 1830’s (he died in 1834 at the age of 58). This fine 9-5/8 inch example has a great profile and looks to have seen very little, if any use. Mark is very faint.
