Super Fine & Rare E.W. CARPENTER Patent 1849 Double Wedge Jack Plane
Immaculate 16 inch example with a 2-1/4 inch W. Butcher Iron. Toe is marked with Carpenter’s AWP5 “B” mark which rates four stars rarity. Plane is very crisp, and clearly saw very very little use. A superb pre-Civil War plane made by a tool making legend.
