Spectacular! 6 Inch Stratton Brothers No. 10 Brass Bound Rosewood Level

Stratton Brothers arguably made the highest quality levels of the 19th century. The vast majority of the short sized No. 10 levels they made were 6 1/2 inches long, but at some point they produced a very small run of levels that were a 1/2 inch shorter and were an even 6 inches long. These 6 inch examples are very uncommon and this example is marked with the marker mark on one end, and with the model number on the other. Superb condition with spectacular grain pattern. The best example I’ve seen.
