RARE!!! Type 1 STANLEY No. 31 Mahogany Level – Eagle Trademark

A very rare and early Stanley level that was a carry over from the Hall & Knapp line and was very quickly discontinued by Stanley, probably as soon as they used up the leftover Hall & Knapp stock. Bold type 1 eagle trademark. Beautiful 26″ mahogany stock with half brass tips. Restored by a previous owner, but very well done. This is the only model 31 I recall seeing. A special level from the earliest days of the Stanley Rule & Level Co.
