Rare! SIX Inch STRATTON BROTHERS No. 10 Brass Bound Rosewood Level

Stratton Brothers arguably made the highest quality levels of the 19th century. The vast majority of the short size No. 10 levels they made were 6-1/2 inches long, but at some point they produced a very limited run of levels that were a 1/2 inch shorter and were an even 6 inches long. These 6 inch examples are very uncommon, and this example is marked with the marker mark on the top plane and the model number on one end. Very nice original condition with unpolished brass, both vials are full and working.
