Rare! J. MASON, Worcester, Mass. Mahogany Sighting Level – c. 1850’s

This is THE exact level previously from the historically important collection of Don & Anne Wing that is shown on page 116 of American Levels and their Makers by Don Rosebrook.  25 inch maker signed mahogany example with push-up sights at each end (missing both tabs for pushing the sights up).  The level remains in untouched as found condition as it was collected many years ago by the Wing’s.  One side vial is dry.  Signed examples of Mason’s levels are very rare.
