RARE Hall & Knapp Machinists’ Level with Acorn Finials

Stunning 8.5″ machinists’ bench level with decorative acorn finials. Signed, “HALL & KNAPP, NEW BRITAIN, CT” on a piece of paper under the vial. I’ve only seen 1-2 examples signed solely by Hall & Knapp. There are others known also signed by Stanley in the brass. Clearly Stanley was selling the remaining Hall & Knapp stock after the two companies merged in 1857. A rare and special level.
