Rare CHARLES YOUNG Cincinnati Rosewood Slitting Gauge – c. 1840’s

A very uncommon 11 inch slitting gauge by Charles Young of Cincinnati, OH. Young is noted as being involved in tool making as early as 1846. Beautiful rosewood with brass trim and a full iron face plate. Previously from the legendary gauge collection of Milton Bacheller.
