Incredible CLARK & CO. Lemuel Hedge Patent 1835 Boxwood Folding Rule

Patented April 22, 1835 by Lemuel Hedge of Brattleboro, VT. Marked “C. & Co.” (Clark & Co.) and considered the first American patented rule. Some fading but otherwise a very nice and very early American rule. Love the early numerals!
