Excellent & Early BELCHER BROTHERS New York Boxwood Routledge Rule w/ Gunter Slide & Steel Tips 1830’s

A fantastic and very early two-foot two-fold boxwood rule with brass arch joint and slide, and early steel tips. Belcher Brothers are noted as having worked in New York beginning in 1831. Excellent original condition with wonderful color and very clear markings. Awesome “New York” script. A great pre-Civil War and pre-Stanley rule!
