Awesome! Type 1 STEPHENS & CO. No. 36 Rule, Level & Inclinometer

A very fine, early and rare example of a type 1 L.C. Stephens patent 1858 combination rule. These earliest examples are denoted by their lack of being brass bound. These must have been offered for only a very short period of time, because this is one of only about 2-3 examples I recall seeing. A special rule from a top level rule collection.
