Awesome ISRAEL WHITE Lignum Boxed Molding Plane with Original Hardware Store Stamp

A fantastic 9-1/4″ example retaining its original hardware store stamp on the side.  AWP5 “G1” marked rated two stars rarity.  Heel is marked “7/8”.  Journeyman mark “T.D” for Thomas Donoho.  Israel White began making planes in his father’s shop in Philadelphia in 1825, and continued as a fine plane maker until his untimely death at the age of 35 in 1839.  A great pre-Civil War Plane.
