Amazing! GREEN, TWEED & CO. Empire Spirit Level with Original Green Labels!

This eight inch example is the finest I’ve seen and retains both original green labels and nearly all of the original japanning. All three vials are full, working and original. Original milling marks are bold. Often referred to as “Fitchburg” levels do to these being made by the Fitchburg Level Co., it would seem Green, Tweed & Co. of New York were also manufacturing Edward Webb’s patent of Dec. 7, 1886 at about the same time or very shortly after. A special level in unheard-of original condition.
