Gorgeous J. KELLOGG Rosewood & Boxwood Plow Plane w/ unique Depth Stop Lock

$425.00

A beautiful plow plane with boxwood arms, nuts and washers that contrasts against the strikingly grained rosewood body and fence.  This example has a very unique depth stop lock lever on the top of the plane – something I’ve never seen before.  James Kellogg was born in 1792 in New Salem, Mass. and died in 1868.  He began making planes in the mid 1830’s.  AWP5 “A” mark, which is considered his early mark and rated two stars for rarity.
