This is the only known example that incorporates the locking nut from the bottom of the handle as shown in the patent drawing. Marked “PATD FEBY 23, 1875”. Fully graduated brass bevel blade with an angle scale and indicator on the face plate. Level in handle is full and working. An extremally rare and special patented combination tool.
