Super Six Inch Iron Machinist Level Signed W.C. MILLER – c. 1870
This fantastic 6″ machinist level with decorative ends is signed by its maker, “W.C. Miller” on one side, and initialed “W.C.M.” on the other. It’s quite rare that we can attribute a maker to these unique levels, but with this example we are lucky to find that there was a William C. Miller listed as a machinist in the 1870 Federal Census living in Providence, RI. The top plate is skillfully dovetailed into the body of the level. Vial is full and working.
