Rare & Incredible! Cast Iron Star Frame Level

A stunning iron level with star decorations cast in the frame. Definitely manufactured, this is one of about three examples I know of. Retains original red paint and original milling marked are visible on the rails. Both vials are full and working. One of the best and most graphic cast iron levels I’ve seen, and a fantastic example of 19th century industrial art.
