Pair of 10″ Rosewood Handled Sliding T-Bevels – 1 is Stanley

One example is a Stanley No. 25 and is faintly marked in the handle with the circle mark of PAT Sept. 4 1877 which is Justus Traut’s patent #194,851. The other early example is unmarked with a fantastic vertically bi-colored rosewood handle. The unknown yet skilled maker carefully chose a striking piece of rosewood with a substantial amount of sapwood to run the length of the handle.
