Israel White Plane with Dovetailed Lignum Sole

Wonderful 9″ example with “I.W” initials on the toe. Heel is marked 15. Israel White began making planes in his father’s shop in Philadelphia in 1825, and continued as a fine plane maker until his untimely death at the age of 35 in 1839.
