Excellent W.B. MELICK Patent 1889 Inclinometer – Rare Variation

A fine 24″ wooden-bodied clinometer patented December 3, 1889 by William Melick of St. Louis, MO. The uncommon thing about this example is the lack of the locking button on the backside of the level. Wooden body retains virtually all of the original lacquer finish and the face retains most all of the original nickel. Previously from the legendary collection of Don Rosebrook.
