Excellent Early 18″ Davis Filigree Carpenters’ Level

A very fine example in untouched original condition of what is considered a type 2 (type 1 being the spindle levels) Davis iron carpenters’ plumb and level. Retains nearly all of the original japanning on the frame and nearly all of the nickel on the vial tubes. Good milling marks visible on the rails and all three vials are full and original.
