Awesome! A. FOGG Boxwood Plow Plane – Rosewood Nuts & Washers

This absolutely stunning plow plane has a solid boxwood body with boxwood fence and arms, contrasted with rosewood nuts and washers. No A. Fogg can be found noted as a plane maker, and it’s possible he was just the owner. However, there are details on this plow that are unlike anything found by other makers, so it makes me wonder if Fogg was a skilled woodworker who decided to make his own plow plane. The German silver depth stop with its unique knurled disc is a particular standout to me. The high quality of materials used and the very finely executed details point to a very skilled maker, whoever that may have been. Everything about this plane is excellent, including condition. Previously from the legendary collection of Don Rosebrook. This is THE exact plane shown on pages 284 & 285 of Wooden Plow Planes by Don Rosebrook & Dennis Fisher.
