Rare Twelve Inch CLIFFORD Patent 1867 Inclinometer Level

A very rare inclinometer patented November 26, 1867 by Patrick Clifford of Holyoke, MA. This example is marked with an earlier patent date of June 11, 1867 that was for a different level patent obtained by Clifford, of which there are no known examples. This rare twelve inch example retains some of its original red paint with gold highlights, making it a standout on the shelf.
