Unheard Of! L.L. DAVIS Nickel Plated Mantel Clock Inclinometer Level

“Among the rarest Davis levels” as they are noted on page 72 in American Levels and their Makers by Don Rosebrook, are a VERY few known examples that were nickel plated. This being the only known mantel clock style with a nickeled inclinometer assembly. The origin of these nickel plated levels by Davis is unknown, but I speculate they were made to be shown at trade expositions. This example is in great as found original condition. Vial is full and working, and the two side screws retain original bluing. A very rare and special Davis level.
